Weekly Roundup: May 11 – May 17

Back in the beginning, I said I would be doing a weekly review of my progress. I’m using my Fitbit to measure my progress and I’m glad to see some improvement this week. I’m still not quite where I’d like to be, but I’m slowly getting there.

Fitness Challenge

I still haven’t managed to reach 10,000 steps each day. My weekends and days off work are still my main struggle areas. Hopefully, I’ll find ways to be more active for the rest of this month’s challenge. My daily average dropped from last week, but that’s okay. It gives me motivation to do better!

Starting average: 7,500 steps
This week’s average: 7,600 steps
Total average: 7,900
Goal reached: 3/7 days

Stress Relief Challenge

I meditated more than last week, but only just. I like using Fitbit’s guided meditations a lot more than the other app I was using. I’m still not managing a daily practice, but I already know I want to continue this once the challenge is over.

Goal reached: 4/7 days

Self-care Challenge

I’m absolutely nailing this sleeping challenge! Moving my bedtime up another 30 minutes really seems to have done the trick. I’ve reached my goal of seven hours consistently. Now, I just have to maintain it.

Starting average: 6.5 hours/night
This week’s average: 7 hours/night
Total average: 6.75 hours/night
Goal reached: 6/7 nights

Weight

Starting weight: 260.4 pounds
Last week’s weight: 258 pounds
Current weight: 258.4 pounds

Overall, I’m pleased with my progress. I’m very happy to have increased my sleep and I hope I’m able to maintain it. My other challenges are proving to be a little more, well challenging. However, I’m going to keep doing my best and make more of an effort. I’m looking forward to seeing next week’s results!
